RHINELANDER - You maybe noticed construction crews working on the big flag pole in downtown Rhinelander.

That work will cause some AT&T cell phone customers to drop some calls tonight.

But it's all for your benefit.

AT&T is finally upgrading the tower to 3G.

This will improve internet performance on your cell phone as well as better signal.

They'll be switching out the wires at the top of the tower now until 9am tomorrow.

There won't be complete cellphone loss, but you might experience a lot of dropped calls and slow internet.
