MADISON - Governor Scott Walker gets home from his visit to China.

Walker traveled with government and business representatives on a trade mission.

Stops during the 10-day trip to Wisconsin's largest export market included Beijing and Shanghai.

Walker met with Chinese provincial governors.

He also spoke with representatives from China's water and wood sectors, and visited Wisconsin businesses operating in China.

Walker says a healthy dialogues between the U.S. and Chinese governments is key to sustaining a good economic relationship.

He says the real work on the trade mission is done before and after the trip.

The governor plans a press conference about the trade mission this afternoon in Milwaukee.

HURLEY - "There's just no opportunity here anymore," said Sharon Ofstad regretfully on Monday morning.

Ofstad has owned Sharon's Coffee Company at Hurley's main intersection for six years.

She was hoping a mine would help pull the area out of its major economic struggles.

"(People are) very disappointed, feeling like they lost hope for our future for our youth and our community," Ofstad said.

Twenty-year-old Tanya Whittaker grew up doing missionary work with her family in Sekanani, Kenya. The village is about six to eight hours from the capital city of Nairobi.
