SHAWANO - A would-be bank robber didn't make it very far in Shawano County Monday.

Workers at the Cash Tyme Store on Green Bay Street in Shawano called police around 3:30 p.m. They said a man demanded all of their money. When they refused, the man left.

Moments later, workers at the Co-Vantage Credit Union just down the street called police.

They said a man had done the same thing, only this time he took the money. A witness there identified the robber as 47-year-old Darrin Church.

Police quickly tracked Church down and arrested him.

He never used or threatened anyone with a weapon and no one was hurt. Charges against Church are expected later Tuesday.
