Rhinelander District Library invites six construction firms for interviewsSubmitted: 04/05/2013
Story By Lane Kimble

RHINELANDER - We got one step closer Friday to seeing construction work begin on a century-old building.

The Rhinelander District Library invited six construction firms to come for interviews later this spring. One of those firms will be chosen to work on a multi-million dollar expansion.

Most of the firms come from Wisconsin and all are from the Great Lakes region.

Director Ed Hughes is pleased with the progress.

"I would like to be moving faster, and I'm sure the architects would like to be moving faster, but I think we're on pace," Hughes said.

The firms will come to Rhinelander for interviews April 29th through May 3rd. The board hopes to make a choice soon after.
