Minocqua Road Construction BeginsSubmitted: 03/28/2013
Story By Ryan Michaels

MINOCQUA - Starting today, you should expect slower travel on Highway 51 between Minocqua and Woodruff.

Construction crews set up orange cones from the water tower in Minocqua north toward Rogers street.

Utility construction on the sides of the highway is limiting traffic to one lane each direction.

Construction on the actual roadway is scheduled to start April 1st.

The project includes repaving five lanes.

That will make room for a bike lane and a larger sidewalk from the water tower to just north of the Highway 70 intersection.

The project should be done in November.
