Trig's Riverwalk Updating and Adding New BusinessesSubmitted: 03/26/2013

RHINELANDER - The Trig's Plaza in Rhinelander will get a brand new look and a few new businesses by fall. Right now crews are working inside near the back of the store.

By April they hope to start updating the outside, and working on some new businesses.

"The Riverwalk Center Mall is going to see the addition of a Tula's Cafe, it's going to see the addition of a conference center, and it's going to see the addition of a Tone Zone, and hopefully we're going to see a GNC down in there," said Steve Heise, Trig's Rhinelander Store Manager.

The remodel inside is focused on green updates. The new floor will be a polished concrete that can be cleaned without chemicals. They expect LED lights in the freezers, and newer refrigerators will cut energy use by at least 20 percent.

The Tula's cafe mentioned is already a hit in Minocqua... they think it will be just as popular here.

"The Rhinelander store, being surrounded by the business community, is really a destination center. Our deli sees a lot of people come in for lunch, this is just going to be another option for them," said Heise.

Everything you normally shop for at Trigs is still available, just shifted around a little bit. The entire remodel inside should be done by June.

Along with the new fitness facility, and café customers can expect to see some new products on the remodeled shelves.

FOREST COUNTY - Prosecutors believe a Forest County man made meth and had other people buy ingredients for him.

36-year-old Shandon Tallier of Laona faces four felony charges.

Police became suspicious when Tallier bought ephedrine or pseudophedrine more than 50 times during the last year. Those are drugs commonly used to make meth.

Tallier was also blocked from buying the drugs more than 20 times in the last year. That's because he already bought more than the federal limit allows in a 30 day period.
