Staff vs. Students Basketball Scores for RHS Key ClubSubmitted: 03/21/2013

RHINELANDER - Rhinelander High School was hosting their annual Staff vs. Students basketball game.

It's a fund raiser for the school's Key Club. About 50 people attended.

Brad Knote of the Hodag Boys Basketball team having some fun with one of the staff members.

Senior Shane White connected on a 3pt field goal for Students.

However Hoadgs Head Coach Derek Lemmons also showed some sharp shooting. The Staff won a close game.


But the bigger story, the Key Club raised around $250 which will be put toward a scholarship.

The Key Club helps teach young people the value of volunteer work in the community.

ANTIGO - In one way, Antigo Silt Loam isn't all that special.

"The reason the Antigo Silt Loam soil was selected wasn't that it represented the whole state, or exists throughout the whole state, or that it was the most productive," said Matt Ruark, an associate professor in the Soil Science department at UW-Madison.

But in 1983, it was selected as the official Wisconsin state soil for a special reason.

"It was the most uniquely 'Wisconsin,'" Ruark said.
