EAGLE RIVER - The Indoor Track and Field season is underway. Thursday night, Northland Pines hosted a 9-team invite.
In the girls 800 meter run, Prentice freshman Cassey Kurth won with a time of 2 minutes, 46.26 seconds.
In the Boys Pole vault, Mercer's Dakota Engler had no trouble clearing 9'0". He would win the event with a vault of 10' 6".
In the Boys 800 meter run,Spencer Gander of Pines edged teammate Bailey Ramesh. Gander's time was 2 minutes, 19.29 seconds.
Chequamegon won both the boys and girls team titles. In other boys team results, Northland Pines was third, Rib Lake fourth, and Mercer finished fifth.
On the Girls side, Chequamegon was first. Northland Pines was second, Antigo third, and Rib Lake was fifth.
