Shawano Planned Parenthood Office to CloseSubmitted: 02/19/2013
MADISON - Getting acess to family planning services will be harder in the Shawano area.

The Shawano Planned Parenthood is among a list of clinics closing.

Planned Parenthood says they must close four of the 27 locations in Wisconsin due to a lack of state funding.

The group announced yesterday that Beaver Dam, Johnson Creek, Chippewa Falls and Shawano's offices will close between April and July.

Planned Parenthood says these closings are directly because the state Legislature eliminated 1-million dollars in funding for the group in their last budget.

2,000 patients will be affected by these closures.
