Story By Hayley Tenpas & Lane Kimble

TOMAHAWK - A car crash east of Tomahawk sent two people to the hospital Tuesday afternoon.

It happened on Highway D near Cloverbelt Road just before 4 p.m.

Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputies think a truck and car crashed head on.

A 17 year-old was driving the truck. He was treated at the hospital and released.

The 27-year-old driver of the other car wasn't so lucky. She was taken to Ministry Sacred Heart and then flown to Wausau Aspirus.

Police say her injuries are severe, but she should be ok.

Police closed one lane of traffic while they investigated the scene.
