Tanzania Mission Trip Submitted: 02/10/2013
Story By Ryan Abney

RHINELANDER - A Rhinelander Pastor wants his congragation to be inspired to reach out. That's why today he shared stories from his latest mission trip.

The Moogala Lutheren Church in Darsalam Tanzania is Immanuel Lutheran Church's African companion. Pastor Norman Peterson helped to put a dental clinic in Darsalam. But his goal for this latest mission was to make personal connections.

"We learn from each other. They learn from us when we share what we do in the United States. We were learning from the Mugala people, the elders as they welcomed us into their homes and into their parishes."

For Peterson, it was just the beginning.

I enjoy the outreach because it allows me to fufill the command that Christ has given us to go to all nations. I can't do that alone.
