MARSHFIELD - He already faces homicide charges. Now, Marshfield police say Gabriel Campos tried to hire a fellow inmate as a hitman.

Gabriel Campos has been in the Wood County jail since September.

That's when he was arrested and charged with killing his ex-girlfriend, 18-year-old Maisie McCullough.

According to the criminal complaint, Campos told another inmate he slit McCullough's throat because she was seeing another man.

Campos told the inmate he wanted to have that man killed.

He offered him $4600, his AK-47 and Chevy Impala as payment.

Campos is due in court February 26.
