Fire Destroys Car in Lincoln CountySubmitted: 01/31/2013

LINCOLN COUNTY - A man in Lincoln County loses his car after it catches fire while he was driving.

Robert Shattuck Junior told deputies he noticed smoke coming out of the fuse box when he was driving in Highway 17 near Heinneman road.

When a fire broke out Shattuck pulled over.

He got out safely and called for help.

Firefighters arrived about 9:30 p.m. and quickly put out the fire.

The car is a total loss.

That portion of highway 17 was closed for about an hour last night.
