Icy roads force shutdown of Hwy 47 between Neopit and Langlade County lineSubmitted: 01/29/2013
Story By WJFW News Team

SHAWANO - Drivers need to take a different route than State Highway 47 in Menominee County Tuesday morning.

Icy road conditions forced police to close the highway between Neopit and the Langlade County line around 9 a.m. That's about an eight mile stretch of road.

The DOT says salt trucks are working on the road to make it drivable again. Until then, drivers should take alternate routes.
