NATH gets Legendary Donation Submitted: 01/21/2013
Story By Ryan Abney

RHINELANDER - The Northwood's Alliance for Temporary Housing just got some help from an unexpected group. In a time where finances are tight and people are looking for an answer, sometimes all you can hope for is to "Sail Away".

Which is also the name of a tune from popular 80's band "Styx".

The group recently donated a guitar to auction off. It'll help Frederick Place's fundraiser to help the homeless. Tammy Modic is NATH's Executive Director...she says it took some work to get the instrument.

"So in telling a story to Carol about trying to get some autographs things from different people, and talking about Styx. She said I think we can figure this out. So a week after telling her that story we had in hand a fender guitar that was autographed by all members of the band Styx."

NATH is also working with the Onieda County Tavern League to put on an 80's party. Modic knows that having this new connection definitely helped inspire the theme.

"Well having the partnership with a nationally known band maybe internationally know band Styx, Is kind of a neat idea. To know that someone who is really based out of Chicago is helping us here in Northern Wisconsin."

The autographed guitar is currently touring bars around Northern Wisconsin.
The "Totally 80's Party" is set for April 13th.
