Two Year Sentence Sought for Former Walker Aide
MILWAUKEE - A Milwaukee County prosecutor is recommending two years in prison for a former aide to Scott Walker before Walker was elected governor.

A sentencing memo filed in Milwaukee County Circuit Court by Assistant District Attorney Bruce Landgraf says Tim Russell used his relationship with Walker to access money intended to benefit military veterans and their families, then spent it on tropical vacations.

Landgraf says Russell's crime reflects ``moral depravity.''

The 49 year old Russell was a top aide to Walker when the governor was Milwaukee County executive. Russell has been convicted to stealing more than $20,000.

A sentencing hearing is scheduled Tuesday in Milwaukee County.

HAZELHURST -
You'll get the chance to catch a variety of theater shows this summer in Hazelhurst.

Tommy O's Playhouse kicks off its summer season Wednesday.

There is a wide mix of shows this year from an old-time country music show to plays written by locals.

"We try to revolve all of our shows within a week or so that if people are up here they can come see one show, then see another show," says Tommy Organiscak.

There are many new cast members this year.

One of them is Luke Funk all the way from New York City.

"Part of the reason why I wanted to come up here is because it's such a challenge to do the 'rep' theater, especially because I am doing four of the eight shows here," says Luke Funk.

Tommy O's Playhouse is one of just four revolving repertory theaters in the country.

Now that's changing as Mercer is now a part of "Bike the Heart."

That means the entire trail is more than 50 miles long!

But you'll have to wait until next month for Mercer's piece to be totally paved.

"It's been going for a long time. To be the last sort of Northern point of the trail for now, we are honored and excited about it," says Mercer Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Beth Wetzler.
