MERRILL - A Merrill woman accused of dealing heroin, meth and LSD says she’s not guilty.

Police arrested 23-year-old Cassiopia (Cassie-Oh-Pee-uh) Conlin during a traffic stop because she had warrants out for her arrest.

But when officers searched the car she was driving the routine traffic stop became a drug bust.

"According to the canine handler the dog positively identified for narcotics in the vehicle," Merrill Police Officer Waid said. "There were numerous bags with, I believe, 84 grams of methamphetamine as well as approximately two to three grams of heroin and less than one gram of LSD."

District Attorney Donald Dunphy told the Court not only is there enough evidence to charge her with possession of these drugs, but also to prove she intended to sell them.

"The fact of the individual packaging shows, I believe, the intent to deliver these items," Dunphy said.

Conlin faces six felonies including possession with intent to sell heroin, meth and LSD, as well as maintaining a drug trafficking place.

Defense attorney Justin Wolff argued there wasn’t enough evidence to prove Conlin was running a drug house.

But judge sided with the prosecution. Conlin pleaded not guilty and put in a request for a new judge.
