DNR Sees More Gun Deer Licenses Sold By Friday AfternoonSubmitted: 11/16/2012

MADISON - Hunters could see plenty of company in the woods this weekend and beyond.

The DNR reports it sold 556,347 gun deer licenses by 2:30 Friday afternoon.

That's about 6,000 more than last year at this same time.

Sales typically peak Friday evening. By midnight last year on the openers eve, almost 604,000 licenses were sold.

We now know the name of the man hurt in a motorcycle accident in Marathon County on Saturday.

51-year-old Kevin Gray from Mosinee was taken to Aspirus Wausau Hospital with life threatening injuries. The Wisconsin State Patrol says Gray was driving east on County Road WW when he tried to avoid hitting a stopped car in front of him. The motorcycle crashed leaving the rider and the motorcycle in oncoming traffic.
