WESTON - We�re learning more about a shooting in Weston Saturday night that left a 20-year-old woman dead.

Everest Metro Police have identified the suspect as 20-year-old Richi Vue from St. Paul, Minnesota.

He was in court this morning. The criminal complaint is full of disturbing details including stolen guns, a stolen car, and crystal meth.

Ultimately it ends with Lee Xiong being shot to death in her own bedroom, by her boyfriend.

"It was reported that they were boyfriend, girlfriend, and that they had been dating for several months," says Captain Clay Schultz, from the Everest Metro Police Department.

Lee Xiong lived in the Aspen Apartment complex with her mother and siblings. The only witness and Vue himself admitted the three of them smoked meth before Xiong was shot.

"We do know there was some sort of argument prior to the shot being fired," says Schultz.

The witness is a 14-year-old girl who was staying with Xiong's family. She and Vue told police the argument was over a drug deal that went bad earlier in the day.

"She was present in the apartment complex when the incident occurred. She was the one who called law enforcement. So she pas paramount into getting initial information," says Schultz.

Vue says he got mad and pulled the gun on Xiong, but it went off accidentally when she tried to swat it away.

He fled from the apartment and was caught about five and a half hours later near Abbottsford. When police arrested him they found two handguns near the stolen Ford truck he crashed, before hiding in the woods.

"We're still looking at doing some tracing on the weapons and where they came from. Those background investigations will happen relatively soon," says Schultz.

Vue said the guns and the truck came from a Wausau man shot dead by Eau Claire police last week. That man was linked to a string of gun store burglaries in Marathon and Lincoln Counties.

As for the victim, police are still working on finding out more about the 20-year-old woman who died at the hands of her own boyfriend.

"We are still looking at getting more background information on her from the family with the assistance of an interpreter," says Schultz.

Vue faces five felony charges including first degree murder. He's being held on $1 million cash bond, and will have a preliminary hearing October 25th at 11 o'clock.
