Sixth Suspect in Mole Lake Stabbing Appears in Court Submitted: 06/22/2012

CRANDON - The sixth man charged in connection with a Mole Lake stabbing made his initial apperance in court today.

Trevor Lenz, 20, is charged with five felonies including attempted homicide.

He, along with five other men, are accused of beating and stabbing a man nearly to death February 15th.

Investigators believe the incident may be gang related.

During Friday’s preliminary hearing, one of the victims testified that Lenz was one of six men who repeatedly stabbed him at a house party.

The victim, whose identity cannot be released, described what happened to him that night. "I got hit with something super heavy. And then all of them tried to grab me," he said.

The victim was in the hospital for several days recovering from the stab wounds, according to court records.

"I lost feeling in my legs so I might need reconstructive surgery," the victim testified.

Because Lenz was arrested four months after the other suspects, he will be tried separately.

However, they are all being charged with the same offenses.

Forest County District Attorney, Chuck Simono said, "The fact that you have so many people in one beating can allow for a lot of confusion. The trials themselves should be pretty straight forward."

In addition to attempted homicide, all six men are being charged with restraining a pregnant woman against her will the night of the beating.

Lenz is scheduled back in court June 27th.

New study raises concerns about Wisconsin economy Submitted: 06/18/2013

MILWAUKEE - A new study raises concerns about Wisconsin's long-term economy.

Part of the problem is the state's larger industries sell older technologies that are being overtaken by newer advances.

Three of the state's five largest sectors have to do with paper and printing.

That could be a concern as the nation shifts its demand toward digital media.

The study also says Wisconsin's main industries aren't as globally minded as are manufacturers elsewhere.

ST. GERMAIN - Doctors don't know why they're diagnosing more and more children with autism. It’s hard to know what therapy works best for each child.

Today at Camp AweSum in St. Germain, kids on the Autism Spectrum got a chance to interact with horses.

"I saw him smiling up there, just kind of spontaneously. I think the horse kinda shook and he thought that was kinda funny," said Becky Howell-Adams, the mother of a 9 year old with autism.

For some autistic children smiles are hard to come by. Making a connection like that people or animals is special.
