THREE LAKES - In the Rhinelander area, he's an involved community member.

But now disturbing criminal charges are being brought against 81-year-old Elmer Goetsch.

Goetsch is a member of the Oneida County Board of Adjustment, a past Chairman of the Board of the Wisconsin Association of Lakes, and the former host of Midday Classics on WXPR.

But he's now accused of taking nude videos of two male interns living in his home.

Goetsch is the Secretary of the Three Lakes Waterfront Association.

This summer, he volunteered to have to Association interns live in his spare bedrooms.

Authorities say that went wrong quickly.

"What we found was a series of cameras connected to a monitor and a recording method and footage that depicted nudity," says Oneida County Assistant District Attorney Scott Moller.

Goetsch is said to have had video feeds from each intern's bedroom and the bathroom, as well as saved video of the nude men.

"The cameras - some of them are what we call pinhole cameras, easily concealed."

It appears Goetsch was instrumental in ensuring the Waterfront Association would have interns for the summer.

The Association's Spring newsletter said, "Elmer has agreed to house these two students for the summer at his house which made the whole program possible. This is the 'above the call' attitude we see on our board, thanks Elmer."

Investigators say that when Goetsch was confronted about the findings, he said he didn't know about it.

He also wondered why the intern had contacted police instead of coming to him.
