SUGAR CAMP - A Rhinelander man is in jail after leading an Oneida County Sheriff's Deputy on a high speed chase and then hiding from authorities.
The Oneida County Sheriff's Department says a deputy tried pulling Brandon Bernsteen over around 11:45 on Thursday night, after he crossed the center line.
Bernsteen did not stop and speeds reached 95 miles an hour on Pine Lake Road in Sugar Camp.
Bernsteen crashed his car into the ditch and ran from the deputy.
The passenger in the car, James Arrasmith of Bradley, Illinois was injured in the crash and taken to Ministry St. Mary's Hospital. He was later airlifted to St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
Several departments aided in finding Bernsteen Friday morning at a home in Sugar Camp.
The incident is still under investigation.
