No Search Sunday for Missing Snowmobiler Submitted: 02/07/2010
AFTON, MINNESOTA - Washington County authorities say there will
be no search Sunday for a man who may have been driving a snowmobile found in the St. Croix River.

Search efforts concluded Saturday night with no sign of the rider.

Searchers could not work Sunday due to environmental conditions.

Authorities believe they are looking for Timothy Michael Pease of St. Croix Beach.

His age was not immediately available.

Authorities got a call Friday evening about someone yelling for help near Windmill Marina.

A helmet was found near open water, and
searchers found Pease's snowmobile Saturday in the river.

From sunrise to sundown, flags should be at half-staff in observation of the 9th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.

Inproper Installation in Parking Garage that Killed One Submitted: 09/08/2010

MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker says
nearly all the concrete panels on a parking structure were not installed according to plan.

An independent firm started investigating after a 13-ton facade slab fell off the structure, killing a 15-year-old boy and injuring
two others in Milwaukee June 24.

Walker says only four of the 296 metal rods between the facades and walls were installed according to original plans and the county
has found no authorization for the change.

"Colorama 2010" Submitted: 09/08/2010

STATEWIDE - State forestry officials say Wisconsin's fall ``colorama'' season is about to begin.

The Department of Natural Resources has dubbed this year's change ``Colorama 2010.'' The agency expects the show to begin over the next few weeks.

DNR foresters say decreased exposure to sunlight and temperature drops control when leaves begin to change and the summer's hot and humid conditions are beginning to give way to cooler night temperatures.

Doyle Donates Campaign Money Submitted: 09/08/2010

MADISON - Gov. Jim Doyle has given $1 million of his
leftover campaign money to a pro-Democratic group known for its harsh attack ads.

Records show Doyle's campaign gave two $500,000 donations last month to the Greater Wisconsin Committee, whose attack ads on Republican Mark Green helped Doyle win re-election in 2006.

This week, the committee reported spending $500,000 on advertising opposing Republican gubernatorial candidate Scott Walker.
