MADISON - Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema signed 24 players
as part of his fifth recruiting class, including big defensive tackle Beau Allen. Then, he briefly took the recruiting services to
task for their ratings.
Bielema's latest class was ranked anywhere from 33rd to 85th by the major recruiting Web sites on Wednesday afternoon.
Bielema said during his news conference in Madison that he doesn't cater to recruiting services and that might hurt Wisconsin's rankings.
He also said the only ranking that matters is the last one of the season.
While Wisconsin's newest signees may not make an immediate impact, the Badgers are expected to be highly ranked next season with 16 returning starters from a 10-3 team that finished No. 16
and won the Champs Sports Bowl.
