ONEIDA COUNTY - The Oneida County Sheriff's Department is looking for people interested in forming neighborhood watch groups.
Crime Prevention Officer Sara Wolosek says currently there aren't any active neighborhood watch groups in Oneida County.
She says right now she's looking for team leaders who want to form a watch group.
Deputy Wolosek says watch groups look out for neighbors homes when they're gone and report suspicious activity.
"I believe this is the key to crime prevention and would like to see a lot coming through," says Deputy Wolosek.
She also says once a group is formed stickers and signs are put in windows to let people know it's a neighborhood watch group.
If you're interested in forming a group you can contact the Oneida County Sheriff's Department.
