RHINELANDER - Earning a bachelor's degree here in the Northwoods will soon be possible. That's because Nicolet College is teaming up with UW-Green Bay to make it happen. Nicolet College is going to offer UW-Green Bay courses this fall to give people in the area a chance to earn their bachelor's degree without leaving the Northwoods.
While occasional trips to Green Bay and online courses are a part of the deal, the Nicolet College President says this is a great opportunity for people in the area. Adrian Lorbetske, the President of Nicolet College, says "Since there is no 4 year university in the entire Nicolet District it is a necessity for us to meet that need by partnering with a four year university such as the University of Wisconsin Green Bay." An informational meeting is being held on May twentieth for people interested in the program.
