Update-Man dead after being pulled from a Vilas County LakeSubmitted: 07/31/2014

CONOVER - We now know the man pulled from the water of a Vilas County lake Wednesday died.

The Sheriff's Department says the man was in Upper Buckatabon Lake in Conover.

They now say the man collapsed over the side of his boat before being rescued from the water.

The first call to the sheriff's department yesterday afternoon said it appeared the man was hit by his own boat.

The man was pulled from the water and C-P-R was immediately performed. He was flown to Wausau Aspirus Hospital.

The man's name has not been released at this time.

We don't know the name or the condition of a man in a boating accident. He got hit by his own boat. He was airlifted to a Wausau hospital after a boating accident in Vilas County Wednesday, according to the Vilas County Sheriff's Office.

They say the man was in Upper Buckatabon Lake in Conover Wednesday. They believe he was hit by his own boat a little before 4 p.m.

The man was rescued from the water and CPR was immediately performed. He was flown to Wausau Aspirus Hospital. Conover Fire Department, Rescue and Ambulance helped as well as Eagle River Ambulance, MediVac Helicopter and the DNR.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation. The man's name has not been released at this time.

WISCONSIN RAPIDS - Police in Wisconsin Rapids need help finding a missing 21-year-old man. Friends and family of Patrick E. Howard haven't seen him since Tuesday afternoon.

It was at 102 Thousand Oak Road.

Howard is a 6'2", 180 lbs. white man. He was carrying three grocery bags, a comforter and a pillow. Howard has brown hair and blue eyes.

He doesn't have a car or working phone. His friends and family say it isn't normal for him to not contact them.
