Lady Hodags roll in home openerSubmitted: 04/25/2014

RHINELANDER - The Lady Hodags hosted Crandon in their home opener at Pioneer Park and Rhinelander came out swinging. In the third inning runner on for Brianna Gilbert. She sends one to deep center and Megan Haug comes home. That was part of an 8 run inning for the Hodags and put them up 11-0.

Top of the fourth, runner on third and Katie Shallock comes home on the wild pitch. Cardinals get on the board.

But this one was all Hodags. Ali Schickert closes things out by striking out the side in the fifth.

Starting pitcher Brianna Gilbert struck out 9 and only allowed one hit. Rhinelander wins it 11-1 the final.
