Shawano County Officers warn of possible police impersonatorSubmitted: 04/14/2014
Story By Hayley Tenpas

SHAWANO - Shawano County officers want to warn you of a possible police impersonator.

They got a call about someone impersonating an officer in the Village of Bonduel early Sunday afternoon.

The caller said a person in a car similar to a Pontiac or Honda Civic was stopped in front of the intersection of County Highway BE at State Highway 117.

According to the Shawano County Sheriff's Office, the caller said the impersonator exited his car and walked up to his car.

That's when he displayed a gold colored 5 star badge.

The impersonator then warned the caller to stop following him or he would be written a citation.

The impersonator is described as a white man in his early 40's.

He's 6 feet tall with short blonde and gray hair and rotting teeth.

He was not wearing a law enforcement uniform and did not display emergency lights on his car.

If you have any information you're asked to call the Shawano County Sheriff's office.
