Big Ol' Fish - April 4Submitted: 04/04/2014
Story By Marisa Silvas

- Crandon's Ryon Alloway took a fishing trip to Lake Gogebic with his dad. The 14-year old hooked not one, but two 15 inch yellow perch. Ryon used a VMC pug bug with a wiggler in 21 feet of water. He tells us these two are going on a stringer of four, and he hopes the other two are soon to come.

And Thomas Watzka of Mishicot went fishing in Sturgeon Bay back in January. It was a crisp 6 degrees out when he hauled in this monster sized northern pike. The fish was in about 30 feet of water and took 20 minutes to pull in. Thomas was using a tip-up with a shiner for bait. The pike measured 40 inches and weighed around 18 pounds. After documenting the moment, it was released.
