LINCOLN CO. - Two dogs died in a house fire in Lincoln County.

Lincoln County Dispatch received a call just before 3 a.m. Saturday.

The owner came home and saw smoke coming out of the roof.

Russell and Pine River firefighters put out the fire.

Lincoln County Sheriff's deputies also responded to the home on Wyant Avenue in the Township of Schley.

No one was injured.

Investigators don't know what caused the fire.

MADISON - A date has been set for President Barack Obama's campaign stop in Milwaukee next week with Wisconsin Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mary Burke.

Burke's campaign spokesman Joe Zepecki says that Obama will be with Burke on Tuesday. The president's stop comes as Burke is locked in a tight race against Republican Gov. Scott Walker.

NORTHWOODS - Some Northwoods businesses worry that new deer hunt regulations could hurt tourism.

The gun deer hunt brings traffic to area businesses after the summer is over.

But new rules could keep people from traveling up north.

"Several guests have called and some have cancelled because they say that there's not going to be any doe tags being issued in this area," says Hiawatha Lodge owner Scott Frickson.

You can't get an antlerless deer tag in Wisconsin north of Marathon County.
That could lead to less hunting tourism in the Northwoods.

3 teens dead after crash in Shawano County Submitted: 10/22/2014

SHAWANO COUNTY - Three teens died after a two-car accident in Shawano County Tuesday evening.

The Shawano County Sheriff's Office responded to a call about a two-car crash along Highway 22, north of Friendship Road in the Town of Bell Plaine.

A white car was heading northbound on Highway 22 and lost control while trying to cross into the southbound lane. The passenger in that car was hit by an oncoming SUV driving, also traveling southbound.

Asian carp DNA found in Green Bay's Fox RiverSubmitted: 10/22/2014

GREEN BAY - Wisconsin wildlife officials say Asian carp DNA has been found in the Fox River in downtown Green Bay.

The state Department of Natural Resources says a single positive sample for silver carp was identified from 200 samples taken this summer in the Fox, a tributary of Lake Michigan.

The discovery by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service was in the heart of the city, and was part of a survey that started at the mouth of the river and ended about five miles upstream.
