Story By Newswatch 12 Staff

MERRILL - Firefighters don't know what started a garage fire in Merrill Friday morning.

Police got a call reporting the fire on 406 1/2 Scott St. at 11:40.

It took firefighters about an 1 1/2 hours to completely put out the fire.

Fire leaders believe a car and four wheeler ATV were inside the garage.

There was no permanent power to the garage, but there was an extension cord that ran from the apartment.

Firefighters are still investigating what caused the fire.
