Big Ol' Fish - Jan 23Submitted: 01/23/2014
Story By Joe Dufek

- Brian Carpenter of Rhinelander recently caught his biggest Northern Pike of the
season at an area lake. Using a 5" sucker minnow for bait, Brian caught this
26-incher. He's keeping this beauty for a great meal.

St. Germain's Dan English took his wife and grandchildren out on Lake Carroll.
Dan hauled in this HUGE 30 1/2 inch Northern. It weighed 5 pounds. He was
using a shiner on a tip-up. This catch is also being prepared for an upcoming
supper.

And 16-year old Katie Koppa is a student at Lakeland. While fishing with her
boyfriend and dad at an area lake, she landed her first Northern Pike - 19
inches. I'm told this has been converted into Fish patties for the next big meal.
