Northwoods Humane Society takes in possible abused pupSubmitted: 12/18/2013
Story By Hayley Tenpas

EAGLE RIVER - A dog brought to the Humane Society of Vilas County might have suffered animal cruelty.

The Humane Society of Vilas County's Facebook page says the 10-month-old puppy came in as a stray from Lac du Flambeau.

He had duct tape, electrical tap and gauze for a collar.

The dog was immediately taken to Eagle River Animal Hospital where the tape was removed.

He now has three inches of bare skin around his neck.

On their Facebook page they say he has a long road to recovery.

They are looking for a name for the pup and are asking for suggestions on their Facebook page.

You can also help by donating to the Humane Society of Vilas County.

We have not yet confirmed if this is an official case of animal cruelty.

Newswatch 12 will continue to follow this story.
