- Zak Kroscel of St. Germain reeled the biggest Northern of his life. He caught this 32 inch beauty on Little St. Germain Lake using a shiner for bait. As great as the fish looks, it should be even better at suppertime.

Jesse Peterson of Wabeno caught an even bigger prize. He pulled up this 38 1/2 inch, 16-pound monster. It was caught on a small Forest County lake using medium shiners for bait. He was fishing with his father-in-law and a family friend. I'm told Jesse will have this trophy mounted on his wall.

And 10-year old Paige Richie had to show plenty of girl-power recently. While fishing with her family on the Manitowish Chain, she caught this 25 inch walleye on 4.5 inches of ice.


She was using a golden shiner. It's the biggest fish she has ever caught. Mom told me Paige is looking forward to enjoying the catch for dinner.
