NEW HAVEN, CT - Minocqua native Delaney FitzPatrick had quite a high school career for Lakeland. She was a three-sport athlete. She competed in cross country, nordic skiing, and track and field.

She even won state championships in track.

She is now competing for Yale. Over the weekend, Delaney won her first collegiate race.

Yale's season-opener was in New Haven, CT. Delaney won the 1000 meter run in 3:01.25. That's a 10 second improvement over her personal best. She was the only female freshman to win an event for Yale.
