Crowd comes to Palin book signingSubmitted: 11/15/2013

WAUSAU - Hundreds turned out for Sarah Palin's Christmas book signing at a Walmart in the Wausau area.

The former Republican vice presidential candidate is promoting her new book, ``Good Tidings and Great Joy: Protecting the Heart of Christmas.''

It was Palin's fourth stop on her national book tour.

To meet Palin, fans had to buy her book.

Walmart declined to say how many people lined up to meet Palin or tell how many books sold.

Linda Goldsworthy, a social studies teacher at Rhinelander High School, won the second annual Global Educator of the Year Award. 

She is the only teacher in the state to win the award.
