More than 50 pumpkins lined Courtney Street Submitted: 10/27/2013

RHINELANDER - People usually show off their pumpkins in their window or on their porch.

But carvers in Rhinelander joined forces and displayed more than 50 pumpkins in front of Trig's.

This is the first pumpkin glow Downtown Rhinelander Incorporated has put together.

They started having kids decorate them back in 2006.

But this year they wanted to do something that would catch the eye.

"This year we decided to do the pumpkin glow instead of having kids just decorate pumpkins, bring them downtown and we'd have them judged for a contest," said DRI Organization Committee chairman, Joan Belongia.

"That's how it got started. I didn't know how much work it was going to be."

The pumpkin display was a success and brought plenty of people out to see the creations.

The pumpkins were only on display Saturday night.

Most have been picked up.

If you missed the display, you can see the rest of them at the Hext Theater on Brown Street in downtown Rhinelander.
