ROTHSCHILD - The Rothschild Police Department arrested five women for prostitution earlier this week.

The arrests were part of an undercover operation by the department.

The five women are between ages 20 and 29 and were all prostituting themselves online.

"They advertise for the Rothschild area, meaning that they provided services in the Rothschild area. But they weren't necessarily from the area and are also working in other locations," said Rothschild Police Department Detective Brad Johnson.

These five bring the total number of arrests for prostitution to eight in Rothschild this year. The women were from as close as Marshfield and Antigo to as far away as Milwaukee.
