Wisconsin Assembly approves $100 million property tax cutSubmitted: 10/17/2013

MADISON - The Wisconsin Assembly approved a $100 million property tax cut Thursday afternoon.

Governor Scott Walker introduced the proposal last week.

On Tuesday, it overwhelmingly passed the state Senate.

Thursday afternoon, the state Assembly approved it by a 82-12 margin.

Governor Walker now seems certain to sign it.

Democrats complained the bill is a political move by the governor that has little impact.

The average homeowner's property tax bill will decrease by $13 this year.

Republicans say every decrease helps.
