Big Ol' Fish - Oct 10Submitted: 10/10/2013
Story By Joe Dufek

- John Merline of Eagle River found plenty of success on the Wisconsin River this summer. This is a 20 inch small mouth bass. It weight 5 1/2 pounds. He caught it using Rapala lure. He told me it was one of three 20-inchers he caught that week. All of which were released.

Merrill's Kathy Yahr and her husband had quite a day fishing on the Willow Flowage. Together they caught 40 fish - releasing any under 10 inches of course. Two of the keepers were these 14 inch crappies. I understand they helped make some memorable meals.

And last month, Pam Ragan of Eagle River was on a guided tour in the Land O' Lakes area.

They were enjoying the fall colors. They also had a great day of fishing. This is a 24 1/2 inch walleye. After the picture, the fish was released.
