Story By Associated Press

DOUGLAS COUNTY - When you see a building on fire, you call the fire department.

But what if the building is the fire department?

Fire has destroyed the fire hall in the Town of Gordon in northwestern Wisconsin.

The Douglas County sheriff's department says the fire hall was fully in flames Thursday afternoon.

The Town of Gordon Fire Chief says the fire hall is a total loss.

There were several explosions inside the hall as it burned Thursday, which likely came from the equipment inside.

The fire hall was destroyed as well as at least six fire trucks.

Earlier this year, The fire hall was the incident command center during a massive wildfire in northwestern Wisconsin in May.
