Mark Bucki pleads not guilty to murderSubmitted: 09/20/2013
Story By Newswatch 12 Newsteam

MERRILL - Police accuse Mark Bucki of killing his wife.

But Bucki pleaded not guilty today in Merrill.

Bucki entered not guilty pleas to three charges today in Lincoln county.

He's accused of murder, hiding a corpse, and strangulation in the death of Anita Bucki.

She disappeared from the Bucki's Town of Corning home home in April, leaving her purse, car and cell phone behind.

A few weeks later, hikers found Anita's body in the Taylor County woods.

She had seven stab wounds to the chest and bruises around her neck.

Police say bloodhounds found Mark Bucki's scent where her body was found.

Bucki will be back in court October 1st for a motion hearing.

He is trying to get charges thrown out, claiming the state did not present enough evidence at Bucki's preliminary hearing for the case to go forward.
