Gun scare at U.W. MadisonSubmitted: 09/19/2013
Story By CNN

MADISON - Police say the lockdown of the University of Wisconsin campus Wednesday all started with a robbery.

The gunman robbed a man of his backpack, wallet and keys before taking off.

The alleged robber reportedly shot at someone trying to chase him down.

Those shots forced part of the campus to be on lockdown for an hour and a half.

Text alerts were sent to students and staff telling everyone on campus to stay in classrooms and avoid the downtown building.

Two teens were later detained by cops.

No one was hurt.
