Woman in custody for drunk driving death

PORTAGE COUNTY - Police arrested a woman for suspected drunk driving after a crash killed a man in Portage County.

Deputies say 51-year-old Daniel Wetzel died in the Sunday morning crash in Lanark, which is east of Stevens Point.

He was a passenger in a car driven by his son.

They were hit by a car driven by a 23 year old the woman as it pulled out of a driveway.

The son, Richard Wetzel, was taken to Theda Clark hospital in Neenah.

His condition is not known.

The suspected drunk driver, and three other passengers were not hurt.

Police say a woman had a preliminary blood alcohol content of point-1-5 after the crash about 10:30 Sunday morning.

That's nearly twice the legal limit.
