Man dies in Portage County crashSubmitted: 09/12/2013

PLOVER - A man died in Portage county when his pickup flew into the air and hit a bridge girder.

Deputies got word of the crash at 5:25 last night on I-39 near Plover.

The 64 year old man driving the pickup was heading north when the truck drifted off the right side of the road.

The truck hit an embankment, launched into the air and hit the bridge girder.

The pickup came to rest on its roof on the interstate.

The driver was air lifted from the scene but later died.
