Michelle Obama to visit Wisconsin townSubmitted: 09/10/2013
Story By Newswatch 12 Newsteam

WATERTOWN - First Lady Michelle Obama and actress Eva Longoria will make their way to Wisconsin.

They'll be visiting Watertown High School Thursday for an event promoting the drinking of water over sugary soft drinks.

Watertown Mayor John David says he thinks his city was selected because it has the word ``water'' in its name.

And, David says, ``We've actually got tremendous drinking water.''

But Watertown is also home to Wis-Pak, one of the country's largest manufacturers and distributors of Pepsi products.

A company spokeswoman was not immediately available.

Obama is joining with Partnership for a Healthier America to launch a new nationwide effort to encouraging the drinking of more water.

The White House says the new effort will bring together leaders from industry, entertainment, media and government to promote the health benefits of drinking water.
