Story By Associated Press

MADISON - Wisconsin's bow hunters can start going after deer in a little more than a week.

The state's early archery season opens September 14th.

That season will run through November 21st.

The only interruption will be the two-day statewide youth hunt on October 5th and 6th.

The late season will run from November 23rd through January 5th.

Last year 264-thousand bow hunters took to the woods.

They killed 94-thousand deer.

Both of those totals were up from 2011.
