Marshfield Lions Club recycles McDonald's furnishings far away
Story By Lex Gray

MARSHFIELD - One company's trash in Marshfield will become a whole community's treasure in Nicaragua.

The McDonald's in Marshfield will be razed soon, but not everything inside will go to waste, thanks to the Marshfield Lions.

The group dismantled just about everything inside, from the Playland to the tables and chairs.

It will all go to Managua, Nicaragua. The tables and chairs will be used in hospitals and clinics. The play equipment will go to the School of Wisconsin, a grade school for underprivileged kids.

Nicaragua is Wisconsin's South American "sister country." The Marshfield Lions also deliver eyeglasses to people in Nicaragua.
