Story By Marisa Silvas

MERRILL - Last year, a local golf outing rolled out a brand new cause. The aim, to make a different close to home and today, they took another big step.

Close to 100 golfers hit the links at the Merrill Golf Club. This is the second year the event's benefited the Making Dreams Come True of Lincoln County group. It's similar to Make a Wish Foundation, but the money stays local to help people experiencing hardships.

And at the ninth hole a special treat everyone had the chance to meet Packer great LeRoy Butler. He was on hand to take pictures and show off his golf skills, but the focus of the day was helping the community.
